What is the production process of galvanized wire?

The galvanized wire production process involves a one-stage drawing method. During this process, the wire is pulled through a mold that is slightly smaller than the original diameter until it reaches the desired length. It is important to perform multiple pulls instead of just one to achieve the desired reduction from coarser to finer, taking into account the ductility of the metal. If too much change occurs, it could result in product failure.

Once the wire is stretched to the desired length, it undergoes careful pulling to achieve a specific diameter after being galvanized. The friction heat generated during the pulling process hardens the surface every time the wire is pulled out. Therefore, it is important to enter the stove and turn off the lights periodically to reduce the surface hardness.

Moreover, the surface deformation caused by the pulling process results in significant internal stress. To eliminate this stress, annealing is required. Annealing is a process that heats the wire to a specific temperature and then slowly cools it back down, thereby reducing internal stress and ensuring the quality of the final product.

To prevent the wire from becoming thin again, it needs to be softened once more. However, safety measures must be taken during the production process of galvanized wire. All equipment and tools that obstruct activity must be cleared from the workshop. The wire must be placed slowly into the jar during pickling to avoid acid spills on the body. Pour the acid into the water gradually and not vice versa to prevent acid spills. Workers should wear protective glasses when handling acid to prevent injury to the eyes. When moving wire and other items, avoid pushing them, and prioritize safety. No one should board the bus without permission. Shelves should be placed lightly and stacked firmly, with no more than 5 boards. No direct contact between human skin and acid and alkali is permitted.
